UNLEASH World Conference & Expo returns to Amsterdam for its 8th conference on the 23-24th October 2018, and SD Worx is attending as a sponsor and exhibitor.
The conference, which is the world’s largest gathering of HR leaders, will see over 5,000 attendees for two days of keynotes, presentations, workshops and networking. Hosted at the RAI Exhibition and Conference Centre, keynote speakers include Josh Bersin, Esther Perel and Andrew Keen.
In addition to its emerald sponsorship, SD Worx and customer UCB will be presenting on the second day of the event on the Payroll Stage. Bram de Pooter, Global Head of Talent & Reward Operations at UCB, will be leading the presentation, titled ‘HR operations in a mid-sized global company’.
The presentation will explore UCB’s journey to successful global payroll with SD Worx, including a discussion about operational models and key stakeholders. Bram will also discuss how to set-up effective HR operations in a global organisation. Attendees will learn about UCB’s journey, how the team works with their partners, and the evolution of its operational model. Bram will also explore the main lessons that UCB learnt during its steps towards global payroll, and how SD Worx helped to ease the transition.
After Bram’s presentation, Bart Jonkers, Director Global Services at SD Worx, will be providing a view on SD Worx’s future service management tooling for international payroll businesses. The demo will also take place on day two of the event, from 13:50 to 14:10.
To see Bram de Pooter’s presentation, visit the Payroll Stage from 11:40-12:00 on day two of the conference. To meet SD Worx’s friendly team and to learn more about SD Worx, visit booth #405 on both days of the conference. We hope to see you there!

If no agreement between the UK and the European Union is reached at the EU summit on 18 and 19 October, the transitional period that would have applied until the end of 2020 will expire. As a result, on 29 March 2019, the UK’s membership in the EU will end, and EU law will no longer apply. If your company employs people in or from the UK, this change could be far-reaching. So, take the bull by the horns and avoid unpleasant surprises caused by a ‘no deal’ scenario by making the right preparations.16 October 2018
