Challenges & Goals:

An innovative, multinational medical solutions company was looking to improve its payroll, data security and archiving, ultimately reducing its number of payroll providers from 14 to one across the 16 countries in which it operated. Making the move to a single provider would enable an all-encompassing, end-to-end payroll service and absence tool for all employees.

The organization turned to SD Worx to provide a simple and adaptable solution to its existing, complex payroll system of disparate and expensive providers and systems. Simplifying this with one provider also lessened the risk of non-compliance as the organization had previously broken local legislations: the payroll team needed a secure and overarching European service that also had a strong local expertise.

Solution:

SD Worx was able to deliver results immediately, ensuring each country complied with local legislations. The flexibility of the solution also enabled the introduction of electronic payslips. With one efficient system, the payroll team had a significantly reduced manual workload without the need to manage multiple local services—this allowed the team more time to spot problems early and reduce the risk of payroll errors.

When implementing the new system, SD Worx introduced a well-defined model as they developed a strong communication line with each of the teams responsible for payroll in the local countries. During the implementation phase, a new office was opened in Israel and SD Worx seamlessly added this and the additional members of staff into the existing payroll system, ensuring the move was successful and no payroll data was lost.

Results:

The partnership with SD Worx has quickly improved the way employees receive their pay as accuracy and visibility has been improved. Ultimately, the risks and costs of running payroll dropped significantly. With a single system and single invoice, SD Worx successfully built a trusting and efficient relationship to tangibly improve the organization’s payroll service.
