Frenchman Jean-Luc Barbier on the Management Board of SD Worx

7 February 2016

Frenchman Jean-Luc Barbier heads up the new Local Services & Solutions division at HR service provider SD Worx. This means he will join the Management Board as the first non-Belgian. SD Worx hopes the new division will further develop and consolidate cooperation between its various branches outside Belgium. SD Worx thus emphasises its international growth ambitions. Jean-Luc Barbier will also remain the Country Manager of SD Worx France, a position he has held since 1 April 2015.
SD Worx has branches in Germany, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands as well as 25 offices in Belgium. In his new role, Jean-Luc Barbier will support the various branches in their local development so that SD Worx continues to grow internationally.

Jean-Luc Barbier does this in close cooperation with Thierry Vanbever who will be heading up the new Global Services & Solutions division. Both report to Steven Van Hoorebeke, CEO of the SD Worx Group.

Growing locally and internationally

Jean-Luc Barbier: “We must orientate ourselves internationally in order to speed up our growth. This means we must coordinate our offer, the implementation and the support in all countries. The idea is to create maximum synergy between the various branches. Each country does of course have its own characteristics and we do not wish to encroach on this. A local approach and the physical proximity to our clients remain important. We do however support the international story by working closer with one another and exchanging best practices. I am therefore looking forward to both local and international growth.”

Jean-Luc Barbier (55) started in December 2014 at SD Worx France as International Sales Executive. In April 2015, he became General Manager of SD Worx France, a position he still holds today. Before joining SD Worx, Jean-Luc Barbier worked for more than 30 years at ADP. It was there that he held various positions in a French and international context. This experience will stand him in good stead at SD Worx and in order to realize the business’s international ambitions.
