SD Worx wins Corporate IT Award 2017 in the Customer Experience category

18 October 2017

Antwerp, 17 October 2017 – HR service provider SD Worx has won the Customer Experience award for its Business Owners' Service at the first Corporate IT Awards. The awards were presented to businesses from the private and public sectors that make smart use of IT to achieve real competitive benefits.

Corporate IT Award

SD Worx won in the Customer Experience category with its Business Owners' Service, which allows accountants to run easy simulations to optimise company owners' salary packages. The application also automates the entire administrative flow from subscription to remuneration. It makes administrative processes a lot simpler and saves accountants a lot of time. SD Worx developed the application together with Xerius, Digit, Codabox, Foxtail and Sodeco. It involved a number of accountants right from the start and developed it using the Agile methodology. As a result, the application does exactly what the target group expected. More than 11,600 payroll simulations have been run since the launch of the service and about 4,500 business owners receive their monthly pay through the Business Owners' Service.

Salary adjustments in just a few mouse clicks
Ronald Aka of accounting firm AKA Fiducia took part in the pilot project: "There were some calculation tools already, but they had fewer options for simulation and fiscal optimisation. The Business Owners' Service allows us to adjust salaries in just a few mouse clicks. Because remuneration is such a complex issue, simulations in the past used to be more like guestimates. This application provides more certainty: we now know immediately how much a given net salary is going to cost a company. The application's simulation is also guaranteed to match what is shown on the payslip."
"It is a huge honour to accept this award. Customer centricity is one of our strategic pillars. Our focus is always on the customer, whether we are looking at payroll, HR, taxes or social-legal consultancy. It was not by chance that we developed the Business Owners' Service jointly with customers. Digital leadership is a second pillar: we want to use smart technology to make life simpler for our customers and ourselves. This award encourages us to continue to invest in IT applications at the service of our clients,” said Rik Vanroelen, CIO at SD Worx.

Three hundred IT professionals
The first Corporate IT Awards were presented at the close of the CIO Leadership Summit yesterday. Three hundred CIOs and IT professionals gathered to discuss current digital trends, and how they can be used in business. The jury consisted of members of the Executive Circle, Common Belgium and representatives from IT vendors. They selected winners in four categories, in each of which four to five companies were nominated: Customer Experience, Organisational Effectiveness & Performance, Intelligent Enterprise and Digital Workplace. There was also a surprise award for Societal Impact.
