GlobePayroll develops cloud-based core HR and payroll technology for companies in the midmarket segment which have multiple sites in Europe. The Global People Services solution by GlobePayroll provides customers with an overall view of their personnel and wage costs. International employers can work with a single digital solution based on the same processes throughout Europe. The company also develops payroll software specifically aimed at the French and Luxembourg markets.
"This transaction means we will be able to improve our digital HR and payroll solutions at an accelerated pace. By integrating the knowledge, expertise and products of SD Worx and GlobePayroll more closely, we can provide our international customers with even better service," states Kobe Verdonck, CEO of SD Worx.
The four founders of GlobePayroll will remain at the company and take on roles within the SD Worx Group, including at Adessa, which was acquired in April (see press release). Hans Janse, who previously worked at HP, Raet and Exact, will be responsible for overseeing development of GlobePayroll's cloud solutions.
"What attracts me is the positive, professional image of SD Worx and the tremendous drive the company has to turn its aspirations of international growth into a reality. The international software strategy has a major role to play in this. Many companies active in various countries in the mid-market segment are struggling to get to grips with international HR and payroll. The fully fledged integration of GlobePayroll and SD Worx means we have the services, software and people with the right knowledge and expertise to help these companies."
After the summer, SD Worx and GlobePayroll will be based in the same building at La Défense, Paris. The French colleagues who work for Protime – also part of SD Worx – will also move into the building. This will ensure that continuity of service will be guaranteed for all existing GlobePayroll customers.
