One year after the coronavirus was first reported in Europe, HR and payroll specialist SD Worx looks at the damage in the business world. It asked employers in eight different countries about the impact on aspects, such as general operations, the financial results and employees' mood and well-being.
Thirty per cent of employees believe that employers do not provide enough opportunities for employees to continue to develop. Only slightly more than half (53.4%) indicate that they can decide for themselves which training courses they may/can attend. These are the results of research conducted by payroll and HR services provider SD Worx in Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
SD Worx, a leading European HR & payroll services provider, has appointed Patricia Molenaar as Senior Vice President for Mid-Market Large Enterprises, Public Sector and International Markets. Patricia Molenaar will join the Executive Committee and report directly to CEO Kobe Verdonck.
SD Worx, a leading European HR & payroll services provider, achieved a consolidated turnover of EUR 743.3 million (-3.2% compared to 2019) and a normalised EBITDA of EUR 77.3 million (+15.3% compared to 2019) in 2020. The normalised EBITDA includes investments in digital transformation for an amount of EUR 11.8 million.
European companies have different views on whether to outsource more or fewer HR projects in light of the coronavirus crisis. While roughly one in three say they are prepared to take on a greater share of their HR tasks internally, more than a quarter (27%) want to do the opposite and call on an external partner more often. This is the striking split that has come to light thanks to a European survey conducted by HR and payroll specialist SD Worx.
