Day 1

  • Employee versus self-employed: when is it an employment contract?
  • On-call workers
  • Collective labor agreements (CAOs)
  • The application procedure, including screening and medical examination
  • Special features of fixed-term employment contracts

 

Day 2

  • Special clauses in the employment contract:
  • Working hours and breaks
  • Public holidays
  • Wages: payment, minimum wage, offsetting
  • Employer and employee liability for damage

 

Day 3

  • Vacation: accrual, taking, and expiry
  • Statutory types of leave such as maternity and childbirth leave, parental leave, care leave, etc.
  • Employees who are unable to work (illness)

 

Day 4

  • Dismissal
  • The works council (OR)
  • Employee insurance, such as WW, ZW, WIA, AOW
