GDPR Webinar: Implementing an appropriate retention of employees’ data

With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) due to take effect in less than four months’ time, it’s essential that HR managers understand exactly what the regulation entails.
Our GDPR webinar series aims to help you get prepared ahead of the May 25th deadline.

The second webinar, titled ‘Implementing an appropriate retention of employees’ data’, will focus on the policy changes that GDPR will bring in terms of data retention and storage.
Presented to you by SD Worx and global law firm DLA Piper, HR professionals can learn all about the changes and challenges of retaining employee data, and will explain the correct way to implement data retention after May 2018.

If companies fail to understand and prepare for GDPR, they could pay fines of up to 4% of total annual revenue. That might sound daunting, but take a deep breath—we’re here to help your HR department get ready in time.
On 25th January at 12pm CET, Gert Beeckmans, Chief Risk & Security Officer at SD Worx, and Laurent De Surgeloose, Lead Lawyer at DLA Piper, will help you to answer the following:

• The changes to the employee retention policy
• How to implement a retention policy in compliance with GDPR
• The employee retention challenges for employers
• Examples of an appropriate retention of employee data

    Summary

The key aim of this session is to provide a comprehensive guide on the scope and implementation of HR record retention. Gert and Laurent will share their view on the best way to comply with this aspect of GDPR, including examples of best practice. It will also give insight into how to use GDPR to help your customers and deal with the processes required for different areas of complexity.
