Business and Brexit: SD Worx European Conference 2017
With Britain voting to leave the EU last June, 2016 was a big year for pan-European news. And, while the full implications of Brexit remain to be seen, it is clearly creating much discussion amongst business leaders who are already starting to plan ahead for the legislative changes that will no doubt impact both their operations and compliance.
One of the business areas most likely to be affected is international HR and payroll, so with that in mind, ‘Brexit and Business’ will be one of the key themes at our upcoming 2017 SD Worx European Conference. This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever before, taking place on the 8th February at London’s Hilton on Park Lane.
International insight
We’re expecting to host more than 600 delegates this year, some of whom will be travelling to London from all around Europe. And, with an abundance of speakers and panellists from a variety of top multinational businesses, including Rolls Royce and HMRC, the event will also address payroll and HR themes in a global context, exploring key advancements and obstacles, as well as everything from payroll to workforce and talent management.
The role that technology has to play in resolving global payroll and HR challenges will also feature as a key point on this year’s agenda, with a particular emphasis on Brexit, and its predicted impact on international business operations.
Gearing up to go global
Taking to the stage to discuss global payroll will be Steven Van Hoorebeke, CEO of SD Worx, who will be joined by Paul Elliott, President and COO of Ceridian, Giuliana Andrade, Head of Product, Marketplace & Partnerships at Ascender, and Jamie True, CEO at mobile-led employee engagement provider, LifeWorks. Their session is entitled ‘Exploring global business trends in the 21st century: Europe, America and Asia Pacific’, and will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the latest advancements in global payroll and HR and debate their vision for Business With(out) Borders. It’s set to be a lively discussion, hosted by journalist Steve Hemsley, providing plenty of food for thought – we do hope you can join us.
Alongside this, the conference will also host various other sessions focused around the optimisation of global HR and payroll. Just two of these presentations include a session from Simon Parsons, Director of Payments at SD Worx on the legislative changes set to impact payroll operations in 2017 and beyond, and a ‘Roadmap for the Future’ session to be delivered by David Woodward and Melissa Goddard, from SD Worx.
