SD Worx Webinar: ‘GDPR: Completing the Data Register’
With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) around the corner, employees will soon have the right to know the status of the personal data that companies retain. Ex-employees and unsuccessful applicants can also request that their data is discarded (if the necessary period for keeping their data has expired). Because of this, it’s important that data is processed and stored clearly and correctly.
Our first webinar in November, titled ‘Dealing with the Data Rights of Your Employees’, discussed handling sensitive employee and customer data. This was followed by our second webinar in January, titled ‘Implementing an Appropriate Retention of Employees’ Data’, which covered GDPR data policy changes, and how these changes will impact data retention and storage.
On Wednesday 28th February at 11am GMT / 12pm CET, the SD Worx team will present our third webinar in the GDPR webinar series, ‘GDPR: Completing the Data Register’. Here, we will provide an explanation of the data register, including who in the HR department should own it and what it entails, and will give examples of a completed data register. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, where participants can ask questions relating to GDPR and the data register.
Summary
The purpose of the webinar is to provide our view on how to best implement GDPR legislation through the means of a carefully coordinated data register, as well as the different requirement processes and the different areas of complexity involved. The webinar will also provide detailed examples of the best practices for each part of the implementation process, using a customer example if available.
