SD Worx Webinar: Integrating GDPR Security and Privacy Measures in your HR Processes

Once GDPR takes effect on 25th May 2018, organisations that fail to process data correctly, report security breaches within a set time period, or comply with data regulations, will face fines and brand damage. These legislative changes emphasise how HR and payroll professionals need to be more security-conscious than ever before.

To explain how HR and payroll teams can become—and remain—GDPR compliant, the SD Worx team began hosting a GDPR webinar series.

Our first webinar, ‘Dealing with the Data Rights of Your Employees’ in 2017, examined the handling of sensitive employee and customer data. Our second webinar, ‘Implementing an Appropriate Retention of Employees’ Data’ in January, discussed GDPR data policy changes, and the impact of these changes on data retention and storage. This was followed by our third webinar, ‘GDPR: Completing the Data Register’ in February, whereby we explained how to complete and maintain a data register.

On Thursday, 29th March 2018, the fourth webinar in our GDPR series, titled ‘GDPR: Integrating Security and Privacy Measures in your HR Processes’, will focus on the changes in security and privacy measures that will impact HR after GDPR has been implemented.

The webinar will be presented by Gert Beeckmans, Chief Risk & Security Officer at SD Worx. Gert’s presentation will explain the best practice security measures—with examples—and will then be followed by a Q&A session.

The objective of this webinar is to teach HR and payroll professionals the changes in security and privacy measures that GDPR will bring. There are various changes that HR professionals will need to implement before the May 2018 deadline, and these changes will need to be maintained for the organisation to remain compliant.

If you’d like to learn more about GDPR and how to maintain the best security and privacy measures for your data, join us on the 29th March and sign up here.
