SK hi-tech battery materials Poland is part of SK Group, one of the largest companies in South Korea. In Poland, SK belongs to SK ie technology, which manufactures lithium-ion battery separators (LiBS), display components, and IT devices. Following the launch of a new production plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza last year and plans to increase employment to several thousand people by 2024, the company decided to implement SD Worx InnovaHR to manage core HR and talent management processes.
The system enabled unified and consistent HR records for all SK employees, introduced employee and manager self-service, and automated many other HR processes.

“Thanks to advanced technologies, SK delivers diverse and customised solutions to its clients. From the beginning, we’ve continuously taken on new challenges and introduced innovations, which led to the decision to build the factory in Dąbrowa Górnicza, now employing nearly 500 people,” says Anna Mazur, HR Manager at SK hi-tech battery materials Poland.
“We aim to employ 2,000 people in Poland by 2024. To support this growth, we needed an efficient HR system. That’s why we chose SD Worx InnovaHR, based on SAP SuccessFactors and enhanced with SD Worx’s proprietary tools that streamline and automate many processes,” she adds.
The implementation project ran from June 2021 to February 2022, covering organisational structure management, HR and payroll, time management, and performance and goal management. A key feature was the high level of self-service for employees and managers, allowing them to perform many daily tasks directly in the system. The system supports both Polish and English, essential for the company’s international nature. SD Worx also migrated all data from the previous outsourcing provider’s system to the new solution.
