72% of European employees believe remote working offers a better work-life balance. At present, 27% of European employees do so on a regular basis. That's equal to 3.1 days a week on average. 16% of employees worked remotely prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which at the time meant an average of 2.6 days a week remote working. These are the results of a European survey of 4,371 companies carried out by the leading European HR and payroll service provider SD Worx.

HR and payroll services provider SD Worx has appointed Bruce Fecheyr-Lippens as Chief People Officer. Bruce is a member of the Executive Committee and reports to CEO Kobe Verdonck.

SD Worx, the leading European provider of payroll and HR services, recorded a consolidated turnover of 475.3 million euro in the first half of 2022. That is an increase of 18% compared to the first half of last year. Normalized EBITDA came in at 70.2 million euro, which is 9.2% more compared to the first half of 2021. During the second half of 2021, SD Worx invested significantly in attracting additional employees to support the company's rapid growth.

The war for talent remains the biggest challenge on the labor market, but how does that translate into concrete figures and points of attention for employers? Through a European survey of 4371 companies, SD Worx, the leading European HR & payroll services provider, sheds light on how current employers are arming themselves in the battle to attract new employees. More than half of European companies indicate that they have never had such a hard time positioning themselves as an attractive employer.

The leading European Payroll and HR provider SD Worx has acquired HRPRO, an HR tech company located in Zagreb, Croatia. With this acquisition, SD Worx expands its local presence to 18 European countries and enters Southeastern Europe, where it sees a lot of growth potential.

On average, European employees require 17 days of holiday leave to recharge their batteries. On the other hand, 30% of the employees surveyed answer occasional work-related phone calls or emails while off on holiday. Just over half of European white-collar workers say they have a flexible work arrangement. Within certain limits, employees are given more freedom, such as staggered working hours. Half the white-collar workers surveyed indicated that tracking their hours worked helps them maintain a good work-life balance. These were the results of a recent study by European HR and payroll service provider SD Worx.

More than 33 percent of European companies struggle to keep their payroll in order due to the complexity of local legislation, the new SD Worx Payroll Proficiency Index has found. In addition, research shows that more than 4 out of 10 companies are now exclusively using cloud technology for their payroll process.
