More than half of European companies are increasing their focus on digitalising HR processes
According to a study by SD Worx, the leading European HR and payroll provider, more than half of European companies have increased their focus on the digitalisation of all HR processes. The non-profit sector, in particular healthcare, is gaining ground in this area, coming in at 57%. Among younger employees under the age of 35, 54% feel that digitalisation on the workfloor needs improvement. Although digitalisation and hybrid working are on the rise, the human aspect remains important within certain HR domains such as onboarding, recruitment or departure interviews. SD Worx ran a survey across 4,371 employers and 10,119 employees.

Six out of ten European companies use HR and people analytics
A survey by SD Worx, Europe's leading HR and payroll service provider, shows that six out of ten companies today use HR and people analytics to gain insights into areas such as staff shortages, absenteeism or employee turnover. Companies from Austria (66%), Sweden (66%) and Germany (65%) currently lead the way in this regard. More and more companies are making the use of HR and people analytics a higher priority. 21% of those surveyed indicated they would like to start using these tools in the coming year, a 15% increase on last year.

72% of European employees think remote working offers benefits for work-life balance
72% of European employees believe remote working offers a better work-life balance. At present, 27% of European employees do so on a regular basis. That's equal to 3.1 days a week on average. 16% of employees worked remotely prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which at the time meant an average of 2.6 days a week remote working. These are the results of a European survey of 4,371 companies carried out by the leading European HR and payroll service provider SD Worx.

SD Worx records strong growth figures in the first half of 2022
SD Worx, the leading European provider of payroll and HR services, recorded a consolidated turnover of 475.3 million euro in the first half of 2022. That is an increase of 18% compared to the first half of last year. Normalized EBITDA came in at 70.2 million euro, which is 9.2% more compared to the first half of 2021. During the second half of 2021, SD Worx invested significantly in attracting additional employees to support the company's rapid growth.

On average, European employees require 17 holiday leave days to recharge their batteries
On average, European employees require 17 days of holiday leave to recharge their batteries. On the other hand, 30% of the employees surveyed answer occasional work-related phone calls or emails while off on holiday. This was revealed by a study of 10,119 European employees conducted by SD Worx, the leading European HR and payroll services provider. Now that it's nearly time for the summer holidays, SD Worx has shared employees' approach to holiday leave: how many leave days do they need to wind down, do they generally take their holidays at the same time each year and how far in advance do they submit holiday leave requests?

21 May is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, but where are we with paying attention to diversity in the workplace? Today, six out of ten companies in Europe are committed to an active, neutral recruitment policy. A representative study by SD Worx, European market leader in HR and payroll services, across 4,371 companies of all sizes and active in a range of sectors shows that they are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion when hiring new staff. Yet there is still a long way to go when it comes to following up and reporting on diversity goals, even though this is considered particularly important by employees under the age of 30 entering the labour market.
